The Regional General Manager will lead and manage all operational activities for the P&O sailingsector in the Region, providing strategic and operational leadership to the sales and operations team and associated support functions.
The position will work closely with both direct and matrix leadership teams to ensure that financial and growth objectives are met. This role is responsible to develop and implement the overall business strategy to support achievement of the organization’s financial metrics and goals as defined by the profit and strategic plans. It also supports the enablement of management effectiveness by selecting, developing, coaching and managing the performance of managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives to the organization; assigning accountabilities and ultimately developing a culture open to diverse points of views and experiences. Finally, the Regional General Manager will provide inspirational leadership to employees internally and act as an ambassador for P&O externally.
A· Provide the organization the vision, and leadership to shape the operations into a coordinated business unit. Utilize the Eaton Business system to its fullest potential to develop efficient, profitable and effective manufacturing capabilities.
A· Achieve productivity gains and manage budget to ensure operational and financial goals are met..
A· Monitor business performance against plan and makes adjustments as needed.
A· Stay informed of market and customer trends in order to anticipate developments and plan accordingly.
A· Identify and develop possibilities for future business growth , including possible acquisitions, bringing them to the attention to the relevant team for further investigation and possible next steps
A· Develop and manage budgets. Plan, organize, and manage human and capital resources across the region.
A· Ensure customer satisfaction, high levels of service and promote continuous improvement efforts in order to drive repeated business and customer loyalty.
A· Effectively collaborate across functions (working in the matrix) to build joint objectives to reach regional goals.
A· Be the public spokesperson for P&O in the country/region.
A· Acts as role model for P&O ethical standards of business conduct
A· Assure that Environmental, Health, and Safety issues are addressed considering local regulations, P&O policy, and good corporate citizenship. Meet all objectives to attain a safe workplace and environment for employees and customers.
