Responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the Front of House within the Restaurant.

Purpose of the job:

Maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, profitability and quality goals.You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.Responsible for supervising front of house staff and for reporting to the General Manager.Staff Management, Training and Staff Scheduling :

Manage a team of front of house staff including scheduling, training, and general supervision
Manage staff performance against agreed standards and KPAs, and provide feedback to improve productivity

Oversee that all opening and closing duties are completed correctly and that cleanliness and maintenance are maintained

Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices

Organize and supervise shifts as well as weekly meetings

Approve/deny requests for days off

Determine which staff will cover busy or slow shifts

Guest Relations

Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints

Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction

Work closely with the General Manager to provide a seamless experience

Stock Control – Bar Area

Inventory of stock

Purchasing stock

Receiving orders

Regularly review product quality and research new vendors

General Maintenance and Health and Safety

Enforce and monitor all health, safety, and sanitation standards

Update and monitor cleaning schedules

Finance and General Management •

Knowledge and experience with working with GAAP

Keep up to date with new recipes for cocktails

Ongoing management of the bar, including cost of sales

Implement dynamic operational working procedures, to support the delivery of service excellence

Advantageous - Marketing

Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it

Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events

Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)

Requirements :

3 years restaurant management experience

Relevant Front of House Qualification

Knowledge and experience working with GAAP point of sale system

Strong leadership, motivational and people skills

High standards of personal hygiene and personal appearances

Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
