The year 2015 marks the 175th anniversary of the birth of the Great Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. For one-and-a half centuries, his music has generated great interest amongst all generations and people all over the world and it continues to mesmerise to this day. His three ballets Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker are true pearls of the world’s ballet treasures. CROWN OF THE RUSSIAN BALLET was founded in 1997 as the choreography of the day demanded new repertoire. The company consists of graduates of the best Russian choreography schools. CROWN OF THE RUSSIAN BALLET has toured successfully around the globe: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, France, Austria, Sweden, the USA, Great Britain, Canada, Germany, Finland, India, Switzerland, China, Israel, Japan, Mexico, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates. Artistic Director Anatoly Emelianov has prepared a special programme for South Africa devoted to the great Russian composer Tchaikovsky.
