The Canimambo Free Form Music & Art Festival, 2013.
“Free form is a work of art or a piece of music that has not been created according to a standard style or convention.”
The Free Form Music Festival started out as a small heavy metal event in 2010. The idea came from Courtney Gibson, who happens to be the drummer for a band called Mizera and daughter of Canimambo Portuguese Restaurant owners Lance and Carla Gibson. Her plan is to boost the creativity of the locals in Graskop and to help promote all the unknown musicians in Africa.
Courtney presented the idea of the festival to her band and to her family, who were all very willing to support. Canimambo not only hosted the entire event but also supplied it with funds, advertising and a great venue.
Hence the Canimambo Free Form Music Festival was born!
This year we plan on pushing the limits to the stars and making the fest bigger and better than it has ever been!
Be sure to book your accommodation now as there are no camping facilities on the grounds and the town is usually fully booked.
To book accomodation please contact Tours & Tickets: https://www.facebook.com/toursticketsSA
