Broker Support Consultant/Broker Trainee (MKT142)
Randpark Ridge
R12000 – R15000 per month

Benefits will commence after successfully completion of a 3-month probation period

Our client a leading insurance brokerage specialising in life, healthcare and short term insurance is currently recruiting for a dynamic Broker Support Consultant/Broker Trainee with superior communication, customer service and strong organisational skills to join their team. An outgoing sales personality is required for this role as you will be dealing with customers telephonically and face to face. This role is sales and business development focused.

Candidates must be available to start immediately/Short notice and preferably reside within a close proximity to the area.

The post is available to candidates who are looking for grow a career within the financial services industry and be trained into a Broker role.

Educational requirements:
Grade 12
B Com finance or business related fields (Qualification must be completed)
1-2 years’ experience within an insurance related/broker support role

Duties include but are not limited to:
Adhere to the company’s work process flow timeously
Adapt to changes or improvements implemented by management
Answering of telephones, taking and relaying messages
Making of appointments and schedule meetings
Cold calling and lead generation
Maintain calendar and client database
Gather information from clients and reinsurers for renewal negotiations
Keep accurate and up to date records
Maintain files and filing
Accurately record written and verbal correspondence with clients and reinsurers
Assist clients and reinsurers with queries
Assist with presentations and reports
Handle and finalise renewals with management supervision
Preparation of placing slips, cover notes and wordings
Assist with research on new clients
Assist with research on new products
Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with clients and reinsurers
Continually seek opportunities in order to secure new business
Marketing and networking with new, existing and potential clients
