All welcome, come and enjoy an inspiring morning on Saturday 14 May from 9am — 12noon, and see Karen Dennyschene in action as she demonstrates the technique of painting on sheer fabric, painting on transparent flimsy material using silk or organza.
Her finished artwork is suitable for fine art or crafts, ideal for use on clothing as appliques, for layering in collage, sewing, embellishing with beads or thread.
Karen runs regular painting workshops locally and internationally and paints in acrylics, oils and watercolours and enjoys experimenting with mixed media. With her talent and expertise in all types of media, Karen was asked what she preferred doing, and said, “My signature works are mainly botanicals and anything to do with nature, sometimes with a twist! I love experimenting with techniques and colours and can’t resist a splash of metallic paint here and there. I am inspired by nature’s vivid colours and the beauty and energy of my surroundings.”
Not to be missed, a morning of creative inspiration for anyone who loves arts and crafts and a way to meet & greet fellow enthusiasts.
