Permanent Snr. Project Engineer in Engineering

OUR CLIENT BASED IN PARKTOWN IS INTERESTED AND SUITABLY QUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS
PERMANENT POSITION
Salary scale: Annual Package: Maximum – R 840 000.00 negotiable TCTC (Depending on experience)

• Std, working hours 8 hours per day ( flexi time with core hrs 8:30 - 3)
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
• To drive project execution as per contractual requirement, order specifications and area of responsibility.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Contractual interpretation and adherence
Project financials relevant to the assigned part of the project
Project Planning
Procurement involvement and participation to orders adjudication committee
Manage project scope changes in coordination with the Project Manager
Manage contracts with sub suppliers (including variations and claims)
Ensure that engineering and design activities are delivered on time and as per Company quality standards
Manage the QC and QA activities on the assigned part of the project including the collection of Quality documentation and preparation of Data Books
Prepare equipment manuals in collaboration with the technological department and design department
Ensure the expediting and shipment of equipment through the logistics department - equipment tagging, packaging, delivery to site
Manage construction phase in conjunction with site manager
Manage site Instructions
Manage possible claims and defect notifications from customers
Site Safety
Commissioning of the assigned part of project at site
Project Close outs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
An Engineering Degree (Specify)
Minimum 7 years experience in active project engineering in engineering and construction industry, preferably in the mining industry or in the equipment for the mining industry (smelters)
Ms Office package (Word and Excel at advanced level, Power point at intermediate level)
Knowledge of MS Project or equivalent planning software
