PROJECT PLANNER - Centurion – R448k pa

The primary purpose of this job is it forms an integral part of the project team responsible for the related planning and scheduling of the project to assist the project team during all the phases of the project. The key role is for collection of planning information from project teams in structured form for use in approved planning systems and tools to exercise time based planning, scheduling and reporting on all designated projects. Particular area of work will involve use of project cost data and project schedules concurrently to assist project teams in an integrated planning approach to support teams in achieving enhanced project performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Develop and update all project activities based on the CPM
 Measure and Analyse project performance against the program
 Coordinate and integrate project schedules
 Report on programme variances and the contractual implication
 Develop baseline development, progress tracking and reporting procedures and work instructions to complement the enterprise quality management system.
 Prepare lessons learned and planning section in project and contract closeout reports at completion.

REQUIREMENTS

 Undergraduate degree in an engineering field.
 Integrated scheduling within Primavera Project Planner environment.
 Proficiency in integrated use of planning and cost control functionality.
 6 years working experience in large projects dedicated project planning.
 Intermediate Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office.
 2 years construction site experience preferable.
 PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) preferable.
