Position Summary:
Project & Tech Project Management
Purpose of the job Effective and efficient execution of projects in the mining
environment
Required outputs: Functional
Execution of defined multi discipline strategic and capital projects, mainly in a
coal mining environment.

Execution of management and/ or technical work related to defined projects.
Development and implementation of project management procedures,guidelines, best practices.
Integration-, scope-, cost-, performance/quality-, resource-, risk-, time-,
communication-, administration- and procurement management.
General
Basic business skills,
Basic legal skills as applicable in the project/ contract environment with focus
on MH&SA.
Ability to strategise, structure, negotiates, communicate and obtain results as a
manager, an individual or within a team.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications and expertise required (Must)
B-Tech / BSc (Mining, Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent (Must)
MDP/AEP (Must)
MBL/ MBA (Wish)
Diploma/degree in Project Management (Must)
Government Certificate of Competence (Mining/Engineering) (Wish)
Preferably registered as professional engineer at ECSA or professional project
manager at SACPCMP
Specific experience required
Sufficient underground mining and surface experience on a coal mine to
execute multi discipline projects successfully.
Proven project management expertise to execute mega projects (From
pre-feasibility to project handover).
Expertise to manage, co-ordinate and integrate project related resources and
functions both on a functional and matrix structure.
•Ability to do business structuring and evaluation.
