Permanent Audit Clerk in Accounts / Financial

The trainee accountant is responsible to the auditor in charge for carrying out the work allocated to them, for keeping auditors in charge informed of progress and of any problems or difficulties with that work and for ensuring that work is documented and concluded in accordance with the firm’s policies and procedures. Performs work allocated with integrity & ethics. Develop and maintain sound client relationships, research best practice, identify potential new business, risk management, work according to time and financial budgets, contribute to self-development, actively contribute to accurate report writing. Ensure adherence to the compass audit plan. Timeously signing off of audit plan. Accurately and timeous recording of over’s/unders upon identification for management letters.

The successful candidate should be looking to complete all the requirements so as to be registered as a Chartered Accountant with SAICA.
• Relevant degree (B.Com)
• Hons / CTA / GDA (CA stream)
• Good attention to detail and interpersonal skills
• Previous vac experience (within an auditing firm would be
advantageous)
• Strong quantitative ability
• Understanding of general principles of business
• Leadership potential
• High energy and drive
