Kitty Kaya Cattery / Cat Hotel is the realisation of a life long dream to build a cat hotel,specialised accomodation for cats that takes into account their sensitivity and individuality, their need for privacy, and their love of warmth & comfort. Kitty Kaya offers luxury accomodation for cats in a small facility built in a quiet garden in Berario Johannesburg.

• The season or time of year
• Whether or not it is during the school holdidays or over long weekends & public holidays
• The number of cats in your cat family

Every guest receives individual personal care & attention. Only the best foods are offered and special meals prepared when guests have particular requirements. The regular menu includes Royal Canin, Hills and Iams. Friskies and Whiskas sachets, shredded tuna, pilchards in tomato sauce, steamed chicken breast and poached hake fillets are offered to create variety. Veterinary diets are provided on request. All food is fed at blood temperature as being carnivorous hunters, most cats do not enjoy cold food.
The apartments have been carefully designed to meet feline needs. The units are brick & tile with insulation & ceilings so that the rooms remain cool in summer, warm in winter & the noise of summer storms and hail on the roofs is reduced. Each apartment has a scratching block, logs to play on, padded igloos, cushions and fleecy blankets, hot water bottles and heating in winter, private patios with sunny areas and cool shade, potted grass...... everything your cat could wish for!
The apartments face the main house from where we can watch our guests. Each apartment and its patio is completely self contained & separate from the one next door. We never put cats from differing families together. Only cats who normally live together are accommodated together.

We have the facilities and training to look after chronically ill cats with diabetes, renal failure and other non infectious chronic conditions.
