Description

We are currently seeking a suitably qualified, energetic and lateral thinker with high regard for integrity and accountability. Knowledge of the printing environment will be advantageous for this dynamic role of a Printers’ Mechanic.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the successful incumbent will be responsible for:

• Fault finding;
• Maintenance planning and inspections of presses, mail room- and pre-press equipment
• Monitor and control maintenance schedules.

The ideal candidate should be in possession of a N6 or N.Dip Mechanical Engineering (preferably a Printers Mechanic trade certificate) with at least 5 years’ experience in a printing environment, the ability to work independently and under pressure, good computer knowledge, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. 

The nature of the job could require shift work, weekend work and public holidays, as well as occasional overtime.

The company offers a market related remuneration package based on qualifications and experience. Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged persons in accordance with the employment equity policy of the group.
