Outstanding opportunity at one of the top ten best companies to work for in SA is seeking HR/IR Manager, very strong qualified BEE candidate who has strong background in Construction , Engineering , Petrochemical & Renewable Energy or Toll Operations Experience Industry background, who must comply with the following requirements: You must have held the held a Management or Specialist title in HR and IR for a minimum of 5 years, and been in HR/IR for at least 10 years. You must come from the above industry, and you have to come across as an extremely strong candidate who has worked with Blue Collar Employyes including unions, bargaining councils and CCMAS with a strong positive outcome. Provide management and leadership in the development, coordination and administration of HR programs relating to staffing/recruiting, employee relations, training programs, labour relations, company policies/procedures, health services support, workers compensation and unemployment, compensation administration, affirmative action issues, and employee benefits. Must have the necessary qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with preferred emphasis in HR Management & IR Management or Business Administration. Necessary related experience: 5 years’ experience in managing the human resource function and Industrial Relations.
Guidance to ensure compliance with personnel and administrative policies as necessary; compliance with all local labour policies, job evaluation, salary administration, incentive compensation and benefit programs for executives and staff; employment and recruiting processes, staffing plans, personnel development and retention programs (scarce skills allowance programs) to ensure long-term, qualified plant staffing requirements; comply with other employee benefit programs including medical, disability, life insurance, pension within the Company. Employee relations activities including counselling, services awards, performance appraisals, and employee records; workers compensation program administration and compliance, unemployment compensation claims activities and compliance;
Access authorization/fitness for duty programs’ and Labour relations, contract negotiations and compliance; grievance and arbitration procedures as applicable.
Establish and implement training programs.
REQUIRED COMPENTENCIES & SKILLS: good oral and written communications skills and the ability to make presentations on short notice in all areas of human resources; ability to travel to industry, professional, and related business functions;
And the ability to interact with all levels of employees especially Blue Collar Employees and management, and interface with regulatory agencies in a professional manner. Must have worked with blue collar Employees, unions, bargaining councils and CCMAS.
