A Coffee Shop / Party Venue located in Centurion are currently seeking the services of a Kitchen Manager to be a part of a winning team.

SALARY:
R 8 000.00 - R10 000.00 Negotiable

WORKING HOURS:
Tuesday:  Half day
Wednesday – Saturdays: 07:30 – 16:30
Sundays: 08:00 – 14:30

POSITION AVAILABLE FROM:
1 September 2013 (Full time position)
(2 week training from 20 Aug – 31 August without compensation)

REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Qualification in Food Service Management (Diploma or equivalent)
• Health and Safety (HACCP)
• Computer literacy
• At least 2 years’ experience in an Industrial Kitchen

• Able to multitask,
• Good leadership skills.
• A good Team player with the ability to motivate staff and solve problems
• Passionate about delivering a world class service to our customers
• Ability to work as a team but also willing to act on own initiative
• Acts with honesty and integrity, reliability, dependable
• Excellent communication skills (preferably multi-lingual,
• Excellent customer services skills
• Takes pride in personal appearance and hygiene
• Organizing/Planning skills

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Stock Control (Daily, Weekly, Monthly)
• Manage Kitchen Staff, (Kitchen Cutlery & Crockery)
• Manage Cleaning Schedule, Temperature Checks & Wastage
• Menu Planning & Costing,
• Food Costing for all the functions (Assist with quotes & menu’s for functions)
• Build a relationship with Kitchen Staff on a daily basis
• Oversee and maintain hygiene standards in the kitchen (HACCP)
• Implement new innovative and creative ideas
• Oversee and monitor the quality of food and presentation
• Time and attendance monitoring
• Manage & train staff
• Quality & quantity controls on all food products.
• Keeping an update of market trends and reacting on these effectively and efficiently
• Any other duties as requested by Management, within reason
