Tucked away in the Waterberg, approximately 90 minutes’ drive from
Johannesburg, lies Monyane, a small 21-hectare unspoilt bush lodge created for
simple pleasure and enjoyment by romantic couples and real nature lovers. From
the outset, it was our aim to establish something different, and we are indeed
fortunate that our guests approve of our efforts in creating a rustic, yet
Monyane is ideally suited for those who enjoy silence, tranquility and magnificent views. A comment from our visitor’s book describes her experience with us as an environment so beautiful and serene, unique and awesome. Although our little piece of paradise is not a game farm, some of the smaller species of antelope such as steenbok and duiker are regularly spotted. Other residents include a warthog family and a jackal duo whom, when the mood is just right, will provide a serenade or two. Our ruby sunsets and fields of stars is nature’s healing balm for the stressed out soul.
The Livingstone and Hemingway Suites are a mirror image of each other, and sleeps 2 adults on a queensize bed. The units are private and separate and consist of en-suite facilities ie. cement bath, enamel basin in the sleeping areas, with separate toilets and outdoor showers attached. Each unit is also furnished with a well equipped kitchenette and outdoor barbeque. a Free standing communal bush kitchen is also on site for washing up and those who require more space for creating culinary master pieces.
Our sundeck and splash pool is the ideal spot for reading and cooling off, or just finding inspiration in the beauty and sounds of the bush. A wide range of activities, all within a 20 - 50 minute drive from our farm, are available and include game drives, elephant safaris, zipline adventures, horse- and quad bike rides, hot water swimming resorts for day visitors, fishing, golf, archery, clay pigeon shooting, paintball, a game rehabilitation centre, wild dog /cheetah farm and spa treatments.
Unfortunately children under the age of 16 years cannot be accommodated.
We look forward to welcoming you to Monyane, where peace comes naturally.
