Save up to R450 a month on your electricity bill with a Electronic processor Opto-couple switching timer. Simple and very very effective.
One of the things Eskom is asking home owners to do is switch off their geysers during the day as well as when you go on holiday. Geysers can account for up to 50% of the electricity bill so they are obviously one of the main things to focus on when trying to save electricity.
If you switch off the power supplied to the geyser once the water inside has been heated, one prevents the thermostat automatically switching the heating element on and off repeatedly between times that you use hot water. Most geysers are quite well insulated so the water will cool down relatively slowly once heated. You will hardly notice the slightly lower temperature of the water at the end of the day, provided it was heated fully before the geyser was switched off.
I have been testing this unit for 18 months in more than 200 houses with excellent result.
