Description

We are an analytical laboratory and for the past 15 years have dealt with customers’ chemical problems regarding organic compounds.
     
We specialize in the characterization and identification of unknown organic compounds as well as the determination of known organic compounds in a wide range of samples such as (waste) waters, soils, sludges, oils, wastes, by-products, etc. 
 
Our techniques include gas and high pressure liquid chromatography, mass spectroscopy, ultra violet and infrared spectroscopy.
If needed in an investigation, other specialities such as nuclear magnetic   resonance are subcontracted.

Our list of routine analysis includes THM’s, PCB’s, PAH’s, phenols, VOC’s, SVOC’s,
oil and grease and petroleum hydrocarbons such as petrol, paraffin, jet fuel, diesel
and engine oil.

The head is Dr van Rossum who has many years of experience in analysing for
organic compounds in the chemical industry, water pollution and the petroleum
industry.  His doctorate concerned the isolation and identification of mutagens
in drinking water.  He also worked at the EPA in the USA on the development
of methods for the determination of organic pollutants in water.
