Cruise & Maritime Voyage (CMV Holdings) is currently seeking an experienced Florist to join our team in Purfleet, Essex, United Kingdom.
This position is primarily responsible for artistically arranging flowers to make wedding bouquets, wreaths, corsages, and other decorations. Other core responsibilities includes but not limited to:
Arrange both real and artificial flowers for display.
Make traditional corsages, bouquets, wreaths, and ceremonial decorations, as well as other kinds of original designs.
Work with a wide range of foliage and flowers.
Order and purchase flowers and supplies from wholesalers and growers.
Cut stems to proper length.
Keep flowers watered and fresh.
Wait on customers in floral shop.
Provide advice and suggestions for flower selection.
Prepare window displays.
Unpack flowers and prepare for storage.
Education and Experience:
One year certificate from Floral college or
At least 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of Internet Software and Electronic Mail Software (Outlook)
Knowledge of a variety of flowers and floral designs, and their origins.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation is commensurate with experience
